Muddassar is also the Managing Partner at Unitas Communications, a British PR consultancy specialising in crisis and cross-cultural communications; Founder of the Concordia Forum, a transatlantic network of senior Western Muslim leaders; former Independent Advisor to the UK Government on UK Muslim communities; and Patron of the Faiths Forum for London.

Nezar Mahmoud

Nezar advises CxOs and executives of rising startups and fast-growing corporates, particularly in the area of digital transformation and developing new digital businesses. He has worked previously as top management consultant for AT Kearney, Boston Consulting Group and as a corporate development manager for Deutsche Telekom.

Zain al-Haddad

Zain was trained as a lawyer. He then concurrently ran his own communications agency, a bizarre participatory arts group and youth Muslims group called Peace Meal in Kuala Lumpur, before moving to Tareem, Yemen to study in a seminary for five years. Since then he’s engaged in teaching and community building.

Mariam Harutyunyan

Mariam is a marketing and innovation strategist, entrepreneur and the founder of KinArmat. She has been helping businesses develop new approaches to digital marketing and branding strategies. In 2021 she got selected as one of Belgium’s 40 under 40 young leaders. She holds a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Leuven and Consumer Neuroscience certificates from the Copenhagen Business School.

Fareena Alam

Fareena Alam is a consultant to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in New York. The former editor of the British Muslim magazine, Q-News, she has been involved in project and people management the US, UK and Canada since 2001. More recently, she was Director of Online Services at SeekersHub Global and Director of Programs at the Concordia Forum.

After graduating from Goldsmiths University of London in Education, Annie branched into finance before taking a short sabbatical to embrace motherhood. Today, Annies’s portfolio at ImamConnect also encompasses an active engagement in marketing and communications. Notably, Annie serves as the Lead Coordinator for The Sukun Retreat, spearheading transformative retreat experiences.

Ahmed is also an Adjunct Professor of Law at Georgetown University Law School where he teaches courses on international law and policy issues related to the Internet as well as fintech law. She also serves as the Fellow for Spirituality, Wellness and Social Justice at the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) and advisor for Penn Sapelo, the first Black Muslim Student organization on campus. She has been featured in The Huffington Post, The Atlantic and NPR’s Radio Times with Marty Moss-Coane.
