Mental Health First Aid is a skills-based training course that teaches participants about mental health and substance-use issues. Learn to identify the signs of symptoms of depression, anxiety, suicidality, psychosis, and substance use disorder and hone the skills necessary to intervene early. Designed for everyone with or without a background in mental health, the goal of MHFA is to make mental health as commonplace as medical first aid and CPR. There are two classes that lead to two separate 8-hour certifications designed for responding to adults or young people. Each class can be one full-day session or split between two days no more than one week apart. The price for certification depends on audience size.
